We are seeking an Automation Manager/Supervisor to lead a team of up to 10 control and automation engineers.  This person will be responsible for overseeing automation and controls systems to increase production, quality, efficiency, and volume in multiple facilities.

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to automation and controls engineering in the planning, implementation, and execution of projects.
  • Oversee the vision, strategy, and tactical development for automation engineering.
  • Oversee planning and scheduling of work within SAP Automation workflow.
  • Develop and implement automation standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage support and delivery of services.
  • Communicate with cross functional teams in regard to tooling and methodologies to enhance best practices.
  • Provide input to cross functional teams to select and implement tools and methodologies that will enable best practices.
  • Establish auditing control mechanisms to identify and bridge automation engineering gaps.
  • Propose, develop, and recommend changes to improve processes and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or technical discipline preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in automation and controls
  • 2 years’ minimum supervisory/management experience 
  • Experience using SAP Automation
  • Project Management experience
  • Process safety management experience preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is desirable
