Director of Global Paper Sourcing
Industry Segment: Pulp & Paper
We are partnered with a global leader in print and digital media solutions to find a Director of Global Paper Sourcing. This is a tremendous career opportunity for someone with a background leading sourcing and procurement teams and experience in the pulp, paper or print industries.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead strategic goals, process improvements, and expectations to streamline paper purchasing supply chain activities across multi team sites
- Determine supplier requirements for volume, budget, duration, skills, services, market knowledge, and certifications
- Develop and forecast, strategic goals and recommendations over the next 3+ years
- Contribute to negotiations to optimize cost
- Collaborate with Sourcing Organization to build the supplier base using industry intelligence, RFP’s, recommendations, and specialty certifications. Participate in the screening, selection¸ and onboarding of new suppliers
- Evaluate global paper vendors’ performance by developing and directing the analysis and evaluation of suppliers, spend, expectations, compliance, and reporting. Participate in negotiations to optimize costs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Supply Chain, Business, etc.)
- Must have prior sourcing experience in the paper or print industry
- 10+ years of purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain experience
- 5+ years’ experience leading a team of buyers or similar sourcing/supply chain teams
- Successful track record for building and maintaining strong internal and external customer relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organization and decision-making skills
- High computer proficiency with strong analytical skills using procurement, forecasting, and inventory systems and data
Travel Required: Extensive travel
