Industry Segment: Pulp & Paper
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor with paper mill machine experience for a leading paper and packaging manufacturer in Wisconsin. This is a great career opportunity for someone with industrial machine maintenance experience within a pulp and paper plant.
The person in this position will lead and supervise maintenance team members in the execution of planned and unplanned work, including shutdown plans, to meet department goals. The right candidate will have a successful track record eliminating failures and reducing machine downtime by ensuring proper preventive maintenance is completed, as well as shutdown and routine work is properly executed.

Responsibilities:
- Safely leads, supervises, and directs the work of hourly Maintenance employees.
- Utilizes CMMS system to review and update the Work Order backlog and history.
- Ensures safety and environmental compliance and fosters a continuous improvement attitude within the Maintenance and Mill Organization.
- Develops and improves preventive maintenance routines and supports predictive maintenance program.
- Screens, plans and prepares maintenance jobs for labor, materials, tools, equipment and procedures that are necessary to complete work effectively.
- Participates in scheduled machine down preparation, execution, and follow-up process.
- Interfaces well with operations and engineering teams while performing Project Reviews, Safety Initiatives, and Reliability follow-ups.
- Submits necessary paperwork such as: time reporting, purchase orders, work orders, safety investigations and recordkeeping.
- Assists with equipment troubleshooting.
- Provides direct and indirect Maintenance Department budget control as assigned.
- Initiates and manages capital and expense projects. Supports project installations.
- Participates in weekend duty rotation and responds to after-hour call-ins when needed.
Qualifications:
- BSME, BSEE or equivalent experience.
- Must have supervisory or planning experience with industrial paper machine maintenance.
- Extensive mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
- Thorough knowledge of paper mill machine maintenance is required.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- First responder trained.
