Mechanical Project Engineer – Paper Industry
Industry Segment: Pulp & Paper
We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a world leader in the Pulp & Paper industry. This is a fantastic career opportunity for someone who has experience with equipment and facility projects from initial engineering studies through operation.
Location: Wisconsin
Responsibilities:
- Estimates, costs, time spans, and advisability of engineering projects, capital authorizations, repairs, replacements, etc. and makes appropriate recommendations.
- Designs and requisitions necessary materials and equipment.
- Generates mechanical designs, drawings and specification package.
- Directs the erection and/or installation of equipment and facilities.
- Contacts, interviews, and requests bids from vendors, contractors, etc. and works with vendors to assure proper documentation and training materials have been provided.
- Works with customers to determine operational and operator issues that may be impacted by the project.
- Investigates new methods of equipment for application or capital projects and maintenance.
- Assists with troubleshooting efforts.
- Analyzes and makes recommendations on maintenance of equipment and spare parts requirements.
- Supports Safety and Environmental Management System
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Must have experience in the Pulp and/or Paper industry
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Strong mechanical design experience
- Experienced with equipment and facility layout
- Project Engineering experience with initial design through operation/commission.
Travel Required: Minimal
