Quality Assurance Manager

Industry Segment: Industrial Equipment

We are seeking a Quality Management professional to implement and maintain industry quality standards in conjunction with our client’s corporate Center of Excellence team.  This person will control the integrated management of quality, safety and environmental programs while managing a small team.

The person hired in this position will be responsible for maintaining the ISO 9001 manual, providing support to the implementation of ISO 14001, as well as implementation and control of IATF 16949 standards. This role will have oversight of product quality assurance and promote the health and safety of the workplace.  This person will also work in close collaboration with the supply chain team and quality assurance throughout our client’s vendor network

These responsibilities extend through three locations in PA, TX, and CA.

Location: York, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Report on the results and analysis for key indicators of the integrated quality and HSE management system
  • Prepare, implement and revise policies, procedures, and work instructions linked to quality and safety assurance
  • Support vendor selection, determining the type and methods of control exerted on vendors, monitoring, and verifying vendors product and systems
  • Manage the disposition and control of nonconforming product
  • Perform internal and supplier audits
  • Act as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality management system
  • Ensure compliance of our programs with customer requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing and maintaining IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards
  • 5+ years of related Quality System management experience
  • 2+ years experience supervising personnel.
  • Inspections and audit background
  • Broad knowledge of industrial processes (machining, welding, fabrication, foundry, forging, heat treat, assembly, measuring, metallurgy, electronics, gear grinding, ASTM, ISO, EN, & DIN Specifications)
  • Ability to read and explain American and European drawings with ISO 1101 GD&T
  • LEAN tools – value stream mapping, 5S, mistake proofing
  • ASQ-CQE and/or CQA certification is desirable

Travel Required: Minimal - As needed
